  • I joined out of curiosity and map was mostly full so got nicaragua. In 1 day I took out costa rica and even doubling cities in a day the unbalanced resources seems prohibitive to mount a fight. Started out with producing 0 Rare'; neg Electronics; as no homeland cities for those. I am limited to those resources that can buy n mkt.   • Naval Officer in my opinion is the best officer to invest in and cheap research upgrades. Couple him with 2 or 3 frigates and can destroy pretty much anything sea; air; land (wreck coast cities pretty easy). Didn't even realize he was stealth. If you put in a unit is the whole unit stealth? Other officers haven't found as useful given the cost. Fixed wing officer is a nice plane but can be replaced by 1 air supp/two strike fighters and still takes damage on attacks. usually hitting with 5 stack …

  • Raf; you didnt read post not all countries are the same on all maps.. ie india much smaller on mideast map. wasnt talking world map. And said Syria was a good country on Europe. But most overlook and go for big countries.

  • main thing is look at atack /defense boosts. NAt guard gets a 50 pct defense boost in cities so although smaller stats on paper 1 ng unit equas about 1 inf unit dending city and cheaper and fast (8 hr builds). so trail your front line troops to hold cities but do not use to attack. I generally try not to attack any troops without weakening or taking out with advanced airsupport atacking or Navy n coast first. But if have to attack you basically need twice the defending stack to win. tanks and so…

  • I used to think was a waste but found usefull early ony to buid rds between cities to defend or a "highway" to the front if have to move armour long distances. It makes a big differences if can move troops in 50 pct less time. For instance a lot of time play mayanmar on WW3 map and may need tanks in mid east after taking India; I prefer to keep troops on ground than risk at sea on a 15 hr cruise. Building the fastest path with Logistics gets there in about same time with flexibility to redirect …

  • kalrakh.. agree on ASF. especially on Flashpoint start with 1 and have airbase and easy to build. first few days pair asg with a gunships as game is limited to neighboring countries... stack a asf and gunship and basically have a short range heavy duty SF.   • 3rd question: Strike fighters are one of my preferred weapons but you just need to build and utilize proportianate as game goes. Early on pir with air supp fighters even 1 - 1 for two reasons (air protection from someone who has air supp fighters) and fter a while it helps shield damage from Strike. IF I am hitting an 2 Inf stack with 1 strike I get 2 HP damage hit with a 1 - 1 stack only 1 HP (once get enough strike dont care about air supp).   • 2nd Question: I have never seen Russia win in any map ive been on and i have 6 wins (3 coalition and 3 solo) in 8 games (myanmar 1(WW3); syria 2 times (europe) ; Ethiopia 1 (mideast); India 1 (mideast).   • You would have to defend that airfield for 1/2 day plus before could fly in troops .. plus it only takes one air supp fighter to tke out airborne in air or any transports. I have never had anyone use airborbne to signifigntly hurt me. and a few times guys used naval and airborne as normal troops

  • I have always done well by stacking Friggittes. To me the most versitle and economic way to go. Ive been in battles with a 5 stack and took out a Cruiser led stack. also far better anti air so can use to defend homeland by air or sea and/or have used to but up a wall of lead by picket fencing them in an overlaying field of fire fashion when an attack at or above any one would cause the ships to either side to engage also.
