Yes, you're probably right - leave some central European cities empty and try and tempt the AI to come and get 'em. AI are a bugger though - at Day 41 they just make CRVs and AFVs, and their infantry hangs back. What would be great would be if a human suddenly joined the game, but I don't think that's possible at this late stage. My borders are so madly guarded now, with Radar, and AWACs, and top level MRLs everywhere, that if anyone did declare war it would be instant carnage. Perhaps I should …

Day 41, and it's still going well, but my citizens are far too happy and keep bumping the populations up. I don't want to start declaring war on the AIs, I have better things to do, but I wonder if there's a way I can make some of my cities go rogue? With 100 cities, all delightfully happy, they could bump me over the 1500 VPs if I'm not careful and end my game, and I don't want that.

I'm on about day 33 in a flashpoint and I'm the only human left, so theoretically, I can keep the thing going as long as I want, as long as I don't go over 1500 VP. Is there a game length limit? I'm tempted to just keep it going for ever, research everything to the max, annex every city I've got, just being careful not to go over the 1500 VP. Are there any rules that will stop me doing that?

Yes, my thoughts exactly. I try and limit myself to one game at a time, and never 4x, because I love the game, but I do also have shit to do in real life. But I do feel a bit robbed. I like the chess game thing, you know, trying to figure out how someone's thinking, what their plan is. You just can't do that against only AI. I suppose I could start a nice WW3 or Overkill game (I love Overkill), but then I'd have two games running, and I know from bitter experience that's a very bad idea. You end…

I'm just getting my head around the fact that on Day 10, on a flashpoint map, I'm the only human left, so I'm basically playing Single Player CoN. Which is such a shame. I like the intellectual duelling. I'll finish it, probably, but you know, it's not why I start a game. The reason my post is relevant to this thread is that what I should have done is treated it like a mentor game, rather than just killing the only people I thought were human. I should have taken them under my wing, showed them …

Quote from Pafufu: “Quote from Dealer of Death: “What is a quid in real money? ” Feel intimidated by our power and cluelessness of other cultures/currencies. Now, for the question. Currently I'm in a game of escalating gold tensions. My opponent must have spent 50 or so freedom monies on gold, and in turn I am contributing 20 dollars to @Germanico's pension. Some of my favorite traps have been shooting down transport planes and destroying lone infantry that my opponent has sent. (Although that e…

PostI love NSF. Straight to those for me, and it takes normal SF a couple or three upgrades to catch up. No brainer. Same for NASF, to be honest.

What would we do during Lockdown if it wasn't for this stupid game? I just wanted to give a shout out to the developers. For a man in his '50s who grew up on Risk and Age of Empires, and who lives in Spain in total lockdown, I'd really be struggling to amuse myself right now if I hadn't found this ridiculous game. I normally only have one normal speed game going at any one time, because, you know, I have other stuff to do, but for the very first time, I've started a 4th. That means I can probabl…
