  • My favorites are Russia, Venezuela and Philippines. Now I'm on a challenge to win for every country (except land-locked) in WW3. So in my experience North Africans (Algeria, Libya, Egypt) are surprisingly very good too. Worst so far: Italy. I could win only third game for it.

  • They will reach non-existing or captured airport (no landing there), and will fly all way back to departure point.

How could it ever be possible ?

  • And there's another funny (sad actually) consequence to this change. Imagine you fight India, for example. He's a good player, have decent airforce, and you have hard time fighting him. But in the end you manage to destroy his last airbase and all his planes auto relocate to his closest ally. And then after a week (real time) your ally finds all these planes sitting in Oslo doing nothing because their nation was defeated 7 real days ago. He of course deletes them with say tank battalion, but thi…

  • Quote from KFGauss: “Quote from Drony77: “. . . like its rules mirrored what usually happens in real life. . . . ” I agree with your general point, but when your supporting it, you should remember that in real life no sophisticated planes land, spend 15 minutes refueling, and then launch on another mission (and do the same thing for mission after mission after mission). So - Yes - Games that agree well-enough with our intuition are good; but launching 2 minutes after landing is no more unrealist…

  • My two cents if you please. First of all, I totally agree with above statement that core game rules should not be changed to fix one (not the best) season unit, it just makes no sense. Next, to the story with odd aircraft behavior. Back then there was a perfect way to get rid of enemy ASF if you have no own ASF or SAM. As soon as your foe shows his planes in attack you know pretty well when he'll be back on his airfield. You could lure him with one unit being it inf or plane or heli, it usually …

Quote from dannyboy11: “Does that mean everyone cannot get in, or just some people? Is there a chance I’m being invaded whilst unable to get in game to defend myself? ” Don't worry, all players of the game are in the same boat. If you can't connect, they cannot too.

  • Same with 6934673

  • Fixed for game id 6654385

  • Market tab does not work. I can open all cities screen but I can't build units or structures. Many people complain in help/global chat rn Game id 6638176 is ok, id 6654385 has problems

  • I have two games running on PC, one is ok, other don't show unit/city/province bar. Units still can be controlled by dragging.

Well I managed to kill serious stacks day 1 and 2 with a single corvette. And sometimes in later game too (surprisingly many players still send troops across the ocean with no escort at all). So this unit is situational ofc, but can be MVP sometimes. And yes, I do not upgrade them later on and have only 1 or 2. Also, corvettes utilize supplies and I usually still have some spare after all research, building and units are undergo. Same with helis, but it's another story. I used them many times, b…

Let me explain a bit more. It's about day 1 and day 1 only. My main point is - build units that you can level up until top levels. Don't research/build units you won't need later. If you do you exchange your resources for power that lasts for a game week at best. Like inf - used until the endgame, it is always needed. SF - same if you chose this build. Corvette - must be researched anyway if you want navy so why don't have one or two ? Etc. Recon - you can't airlift it far enough while it is low…

Wow-wow, such a spike in a year-old thread ) As an author, I think I might have a right to add a couple of things. Back then this guide was not met eh... well. But I still follow it and I win almost every public game I play. I admit that few statements were wrong, depending on the country played. Like you don't need to build barracks in every city and immediately build inf. But for most of the countries (like 5-6 cities) this works well. I can't agree that early rush brings you victory. Early ru…

If you are US and insurgents spawn in Europe, move your HQ there. Distance to capital affects morale pretty much

My favorite is Venezuela. Many bots around to start, 3 shore cities, two neighbors (Colombia and Cuba), others are far away. Brazil is actually near but due to jungles it is hard to attack you from that side. Drawback is that capital is a shore city too.

  • Examples of stacks that took bot cities with no losses. One took Bern and was outside the city since capture, other took Ljubljana and garrisoned it. No losses for both. Game ID 6638176, now day 3, both cities were taken day 1. Player lvl 25.

  • Okay. So all this behavior is pure RNG, right ? How the hell can one lose unit from 5x stack while two others don't lose units from 3x stacks ? All against bots ? All of the same level ? How ?

  • Maybe someone from Dorado could comment on this matter ? Like "nothing has changed, bug off" or "yes, guys, we've changed the math here's the new one". I personally agree that new players should have some handicap, but I just want to know the rules. This game is about math at least for experienced players who can think and breath simultaneously. We do calculate stacks, engagements and follow our units in battle. This is quite rare nowadays, but there are people who care. And I think these people…
