Airborne infantry are useful in active wars, as well as for mopping up empty regions of an inactive or defeated opponent

Being able to suddenly capture a lot of provinces at once allows you to utilize the fog of war to your advantage much more. I think that's the main thing I use them for. -

(I will repeat it, but the fact that the walking animation of the airborn is the most FREAKING COOL animation of the whole game, while it's associated to the most useless form of movement, is still painful)Running an online alliance is pretty much like running a small company, except you need to find other way than money to keep your employees productive. I assume they are so slow because they have to carry their helicopters on their backs while they march, or something.
