So any kind of AA makes elite drones completely useless because they patrol for 10 min before attacking

I agree with the Corvettes it would be and early to mid game option only. I do remember seeing in the description for a short while that they could be deployed from AWACS which would be useful, but it looks like that was dropped for final release.
It is even worse than AA nullifying the unit. If your point defence value against fixed wing is greater than the HP of the UAV (max about 7) they get destroyed on attack without damaging the target. Any self respecting stack, naval or ground, will have a higher values than this.
in short, I’ve found them useful early game, but they don’t scale upwards enough in HP to even hit mid to late game targets that matter. -

That is not how air units works, that is how missiles work. The issue is, that they wait for 10 min before attacking, so the AA sweep will kill them first.
Now idea how giving them to AWACS would make them any better. They have no range. You would need to move your AWACS above hostile troops to deploy them correctly and this is for sure not the best position for an AWACS. -
Well the early game option for corvettes is out of hand with the Tier 2 restriction...As is deribed the usefullness as early defense jsut droped a lot.
In later game every fregatte just wipes them away...funnly not knowing that they even existed...@Dorado If you Close the Forum and move everything to Discord you will lose my Feedback for sure. -
I think we should give them a patrol radius of 100 and a major boost in hp or be able to stack them, especially at higher tiers. Theoretically, SUAVs overwhelm high tech anti air defenses through shear numbers but right now they need the range and possibility of slipping through to be effective. Right now they decent vs tanks and infantry but are not capable of getting navy or artillery without the SUAV carriers getting blasted to bits

is it just me or arent we getting ANY points at all this season? I have been stuck with 1/2000 points, despite killing way more than 1 unitLive as I learn, not as I live

Does anyone know how the season points are calculated. I would love to get a break down. That way I can target certain troops. Lol
-
I suspect the same way, the experiences are calculated from killing units. Higher level units give more score then lower level units

So it seems, you can't even resupply them if you are on hostile territory. So using air assault with specs and trying to use them in the enemy backyard is therefore impossible.

So far there seem to be only 2 reasonable options to use them:
- to make mortar infantry rush in 4x more effective, by spaming EUAV while mortaring (assuming opponent has no kind of AA)
- to release them short before an attacker crashes into your fortification (assuming he has a typical only tanks and infantry build)

Yeah hey are like UGV...no real use case for application...and even in early game they are hard to deploy as most player have a ASF that can take it down...

Dorado should get the feedback of a few competitive players when they design the season units. If they already are then perhaps they need to re evaluate their competitive players. This unit has potential to be useful but as Kalrakh pointed out the 10 minute patrol makes it mostly useless. It will always be behind the AA tick and likely die before engaging its target. In its current format it can be useful mostly against people who are not actively controlling their units. To me this should not be the hallmark of a season unit....only effective vs inactive people.

These swarm UAVs are junk. Completely useless.
They always get shot down by anything with defensive AA numbers.
You could throw a trash can at someone and do more damage. -

But if the opponent has no AA unit, they should still deal damage. -

Now that the ground units have been leveled up, My swarm UAVs do no damage. -
I'm not a huge fan of them, i liked the old UAV units from season 6 more, at least they could be moved.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGM-136_Tacit_Rainbow
The AGM-136A Tacit Rainbow was a United States military anti-radiation missile program run from 1982 to 1991.
The requirement was for a low-cost air-launchable system to aid in the destruction of enemy air defense networks. The proposed unit would combine elements of cruise missiles and UAVs, it would be launched in large numbers by heavy bombers, fighters, or possibly mass ground launch systems.
The missiles would fly in advance of manned aircraft up to 450 km (280 mi) to pre-programmed target zones and patrol there until enemy radar sources were detected which would then be destroyed, acting as a loitering munition. This extended patrol time on target ("loiter time") was the key feature of the new system, a persistent anti-radiation missile (PARM) as opposed to a HARM.
It would be nice to have the SUAV specifically target radar capable units like a PARM...
