Yet without knowing the code, you may just as well say it is a easy fix, that the legacy code promotes the mechanic.
This is something that the devs will have to address, and not the players.
All we can do is propose, the coding gods will dispose.

I think that the idea is kinda nonsensical, the only units that would benefit from it are ground units and aircraft; units which already have a healing rate that is just batshit insane. There is also already a pretty clear distinction
-> normal healing speed = just wait
-> faster healing = use gold
its ultimately also a lot less flexible than hospitals with having the requirement of the town in question having to be able to produce the unit you want repaired.
So you either end up with a mechanic that’s utterly worthless or one that makes hospitals completely redundant, im leaning more towards first simply because of the added requirements.
It would maybe make sense for naval units to possess such a mechanic since they have high HP pools but incredibly low healing rate but even there you run into the issue of the low healing rate being a balancing factor for navy.I am The Baseline for opinions -
This would probably only work if hospitals only heal infantry type units. Airfields would heal aircraft (high level field = quicker healing) and army bases with industry heals tanks etc. Hospitals would need to get cheaper and/or need a buff to population growth. Overall, not sure it makes the most sense.
I would like to see this for navies though, some sort of dry dock to speed up healing. -

Accelerated healing isn't.
The choice is whether you want to be a skinflint and wait, or invest the resources to get the unit back to full strength quicker.

I have a great Idea for a season unit. A medic. Tier them and make it hard, but a rolling hospital is a good idea.
