I personally dont like it....was it difficult to make a real Pacific map instead of puting 50% of Asia?
What about making a west america + east asia map like we have with flashpoint with Europe + east america? Much more enjoyable and more possibilities like big navy fights

Seeing this (in a Pacific Theater map) on day 7 with 6 active players left surprised me.
1) Having 6 players left out of the original 30 on Day 7 seems like a fairly good percentage, when compared to other games I've played,
AND
2) Offering to end the game with 6 players instead of 5 players seems like a policy change.
Maybe this is part of the changes to deal with the Victory Condition adjustments?
Regardless - FYI:

tested the map and must say I am a bit disapointed. it evolves very slow. hardly local resources, many 5 cities nations. it day 13 and I have only 22 cities. my net output of supply is 3000 so I havnt researched anything in last days cause i need everything fir NG to conquer the massive landmass of china.
it also hard for me to identify with the country names to get the spirit of a nation leader. I have orthoxxx something. dont even remember.
I might leave this map to the locals.

I agree, coalition 5/5x slot it's too much. 3/3x is better way.
Map need lot 6x and 7x cities and increasing resource too.
Map need also 3x more nations, and it's need also expand map lines to WEST and NORTH. (30/30 to 33/33 player nations).Guns are always loaded. -

as I said. the map is a fail. inactivit proovea the point
With that in mind my first impression (after 7 game days) is that this map is as good as (or as bad as) the other small public maps.
Maybe this one is supposed to eventually become the landing pad for the userxxxxx noobs from the Asia/Pacific time zones? -

It's Day 13 of my Pacific Theater game and I've been blasting away at abandoned countries, and . . . I haven't seen a single AFV, or any similar, typical AI-created units. Not even new infantry.
What's up with that?
Does anyone know if the Pacific map (and any others?) has an official new AI behavior? -

In this PT game abandoned countries aren't building anything.
When I invade countries abandoned several days ago, the defenses I encounter are only the troops that existed when the original player stopped issuing orders. -

i can confirm this
I saw also main issue in pacific map... I even notice about NEW UNCOVERED ISSUE. It's inactive time; it's not 24 hour or 36 hour, it's 18 HOUR!
Guns are always loaded. -
After 17 days of non-stop farming, here is what a mostly-land-based 1200VP Solo win looks like on the Pacific Theater map.
There were only 2 other (semi)active players (New Guinea and Philippines) issuing orders for most of the game, so I was literally just snowballing (EAA, Strikes, and Nat GD) through inactives for the entire 17 days.
Regardless, the image let's you know roughly how much you need to conquer for a solo win, and what sort of income you can accumulate during those conquests.
