    • If Jeff Bezos played CoN

Once upon a time, in the year 2048, Amazon has taken over all markets and is now the world’s chief supplier. Jeff Bezos can now relax and have some time to himself.

He decides to play an online video game, and after a few quick Google searches he stumbles onto Conflict of Nations.

After taking the tutorial and learning how to play, he says “I like this game. I want to play more!”

After some time, he realizes that the game includes premium currency, aptly named “Gold” and realizes that he could win games in a flash if he had enough of it.

So he goes to the Dorado purchase site and buys himself 1 billion gold bricks. “This oughta be enough... for now” he thinks to himself.

His Amazon stock will drop by 0.000001%, but he isn’t worried.

So he joins a new game, a WW3 map, and picks a random country. The game gives him Iraq.

And right away, he starts flashing the bricks. The first thing he does is load up on resources. He buys 1 million of each, along with 100 million money and 10 million manpower. And es only scratched the surface of his gold stock.

He researches all tech available on day 1, using gold to speed up the researches. Then, he maxes out industry across his cities, again using gold to speed up construction.

He wants to see if he can win the game using only two units - motorized infantry and strike fighters. Using gold, he makes a maxed out airbase and maxed out barracks. He then produces 100 infantry and 100 strike fighters.

The First Nation he attacks is Syria. To make it more efficient, he splits his stack in to groups of 10, and sends 5 of the 10-stacks to attack Syria. He does so quickly, using force March (he can always auto heal units later) and using gold to raise the morale of newly conquered cities.

A short time later, while Jeff is finishing off Syria (its only 6 hours into day 1) Iran (a level 150 player) notices what he is doing and attacks. He has one 10-stack, but Jeff have 5 more ready to go! He uses the SF to mostly cripple the stack, and the infantry does the rest. Iran is all yours now, and now you have 17 cities - in just half a day.

Ovet the next couple days the nations keep falling: in order, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Greece, India, Serbia. He decides to save Russia for later when he will border it to the west and southeast.

Now, other countries are becoming aware of what is going on - the mass golder of all mass golders - and he gets tons of messages inviting him to coalitions. He joins a coalition with USA, Cuba, and Brazil - as the game will end before he get to them.

By day 4 you own all of the Middle East, North Africa, India, Central Asia, and Central and Eastern Europe. Now he attacks Russia - 60 SF and 50 infantry roll across the border. He gets all the Russia cities except Vladivostok before the day is over.

Meanwhile, you have maxed out all constructing in your home cities - hospitals, recruiting offices, everything. With your other coalition mates taking all the land in the America’s, his coalition - named “The Golden Valley” gets enough VP to win - on day 5. Brazil congratulated him, saying “You must be Elon Musk or someone!” He thinks he’s better than Elon though.

And Bezos is now sitting in his rocking chair on the 420th floor of his super suite, thinking “I’ll have to do that again sometime...”
