  • CoN promotes "Greater Serbia"

As some of you may know, in several significant CoN maps, including Flashpoint (a tutorial map), WW3, and Rising Tides, the country called Serbia starts the game controlling land that is not part of Serbia in real life. This includes Kosovo, North Negotin (in flashpoint), and even Macedonia and Montenegro in some maps.

As an ethnic Kosovar living in Albania, I find this disgusting.
Our country fought a brutal war against Serbia (then called Yugoslavia) in the late 1990s to liberate Albanian and Kosovar people from Serb oppression. This culminated in the NATO bombings of Belgrade in 1999 and several territories handed over to Albania.
Meanwhile, Macedonia gained independence from Yugoslavia in 1992, and Montenegro in 2006.

But in this game, WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO BE BASED ON REAL LIFE, MIND YOU...
In the Flashpoint and WW3 maps, the countries of Kosovo and Montenegro do not exist, and are instead part of Serbia, the latter map giving Macedonia to Serbia as well.
But the worst case, is in the Rising Tides ma, where THE COUNTRY IS LITERALLY CALLED "GREATER SERBIA" !!!

If the folks at Dorado really took the time to think about their maps and not just design them, they could have been able to fix this issue, making the borders realistic and making Kosovo, Montenegro and etc. their separate countries. But rather, they are (presumably unknowingly) promoting a totalitarian regime by having the territories it claimed as part of its child nation in the game.
If they did take the time to look over their maps they could probably fix some other things as well, like Palestine, Taiwan, Kashmir and other.
