So far with a GPA of 3.80 I'm in the median for both of them...

Look up the meaning of that well-known phrase that has been well-understood for centuries.
It has no connection to human skin colors, and assigns no importance to the pot and kettle's black color.
In the phrase what matters that the pot and kettle are the same color, and that that color is different (implied) from their original colors. What that color is is not important.
