      Peace Conference:
What I am suggesting is: if a nation is losing a war, they can have the option to "surrender" to the attacking nations. When most (if not all) of the losing nations against the attacking nations agree to the surrender, then a peace conference event is activated. This can also happen if a specific nation surrenders. Surrenders can be rejected if over 50% on the winning side rejects. In special cases, nations outside of coalitions who are not helping in efforts do not have to surrender even if the coalition does.
The nation that contributed the most gets more "bidding points" and vice versa depending on how much they contributed (like how many provinces they got, damage to units, missiles launched etc) and on the amount of territory the losing side has. This is where it gets messy:
      - if 2 nations are attacking each other AND the surrendering country - then they will BOTH miss out on the "peace conference" UNLESS they sign a truce that renders them unable to attack each other for around 7 ingame days (1 irl day to do it).
      - if a nation on the "winning side" has more than like 50% of its homeland occupied OR its capital occupied, they do not get to participate
      - the "losing side" would be determined if the nation is at war with most of the winning side (then winners who are not at war with the nation who are in the losing side are not able to claim their land). Furthermore, nations who committed major war efforts against the winning side AND helped the "losing side" will also be in the "losing side".

Then, the nations get to bid on specific provinces and cities on which they want, with the nations with the most points be able to bid on provinces and cities first and vice versa. Nations will take turns bidding on the lands, with bidding points being returned if outbid. Your turn will be skipped if you remain inactive in an amount of time. Bidding may take multiple rounds depending on nations within the winning side decides to try to fight (using bidding points of course) for strategic land). A country is allowed to bid on the behalf of another winner, but still has to pay for it using bidding points. After the bidding is done, the peace conference is over and the winning coalition are unable to attack the losing coalition for 7 to 14 days of in game time. Bidding points are lost after peace conference.
Of course, to ensure that the losing side does not completely gets destroyed, there are limits. The winning side can take up to around 60-70% of their provinces. The winning side can also take up to 75% of their cities, however: the losing side has to have 3 cities (annexed and/or homeland) and 5 homeland provinces remaining.
This is an interesting idea i thought of. And yes, there are some rough loopholes that can be exploited so the devs can change any mechanic and stuff. Peace conferences are interesting, because it can allow a suffering country to take the initiative and surrender in order to not get completely destroyed.
Edit: Troops from the losing from stop fighting. And the losing side's troops will be shipped back to the remaining cities the losing side has left.

      World Tension:
World Tension is basically the amount of fear/anxiety that exists in the nations. The higher the world tension is, the more impacts it has on you.
      Increase Factors:
      - Declaring war
      - Taking Land/ Annexing a city
      - Joining/Leaving a coalition
      Decrease Factors:
      - Over time
      - Peace conference
      Example:
      5%: War against Poland
      3%: Annexed 3 Cities
      -1.5%: Recent Peace Conference
      Total: 6.5%
The Next day, without any major events it will turn to:
      4.9%: War against Poland
      2.9%: Annexed 3 Cities
      -1.4%: Recent Peace Conference
      Total: 6.4%
      Extra:
      - Peace conferences will lower all nation's world tension. (Peace Conference Idea)
      - Death of human life (like mass bombing a city multiple times and lowering population level) will increase both the nations and partial for other nations.
      Effects:
Generally, the higher the world tension, the faster you can moblize troops and research. However some negative side effects are lower morale and less resource and money production.
    • I think the Peace Conference concept is a great idea. However, it is a little complicated IMO, so I didn't get all of the details.

Your world tension concept/idea is already (partially) in CoN. It lives on as morale, so you are simply suggesting more factors to morale.

I think, if you simplified both concepts, they would be a great addition to CoN.
"Sometimes, a coalition is not seen as a way to make real allies, but to simply decrease the amount of possible enemies you can have."

"I am forever in debt of a combat outpost." - me

    • Please no; players dont even bother to keep their cities' morale up as it is so why make it even more complicated? Also, the game ultimately incentivizes players to take over others. There's no reason to accept peace for dominate coalitions outside of maybe 2-3 other nations and thats if those nations dont have enough victory points to win themselves. If there was a way to win by "turtle'ing" then it would make more sense.
