I always use strike fighters over helos. They're cheap(er), easy to produce and hit all targets fairly well.

The gunship doesn't use Components, so it's good if you have excess "Supplies".
I'd say it's attack stat is mitigated by most units having higher heli defense (1.5 vs 1).
I think they're better for morale, not as good as ground units tho.
Technically heli should be able to operate from just about any clearing, (maybe not forest or jungle).
Personally I would like fuel supply/logistics to be more detailed (most players would probably not like that tho).
