I abandoned my first (tutorial) game with Belarus. I was in first place, but the remaining players was ***holes and i was playing another FP game and it was more funny by far.
This another game was my first win. I was France. It was very funny because my allies and me (Spain and UK) with US were the only remaining active players and we had a cold war. It was very tense because US was a brigadier and we were rookies.
My first solo was with Russia. -
it was my first real game (I won the tutorial too but it took forever without 4x)
I think I was Bolivia, this other player came across from Australia and killed all my neighbors. I learned a lot from him, his use of navel early game etc. He was beating me but I wouldn't give up, his ships couldn't really hurt me and he eventually quit. -

I think Nigeria, but I was also a new player and had purchased the $50 steam pack and just spent 1million gold in a single match, ruined the game for everyone with nukes. looking back, it was a stupid game.

Thailand.
Really reccomend this country to people who like action from day one and having the action continue well into mid/lategame as once you deal with neighbouring Myanmar and Vietnam, there is Indo and Philipines to worry about, once those are dealt with you can get into troubles with Australia, China, India. Sometimes they skip the order and Phili comes to you on day one... All-rounder country to keep one vigilant.
