    • Hey, it would be great that they make the 100 hundred player map with the current military capacities of each country! i mean, one that truly represents the economics and technologies of each nation (Russia, the USA and others with nuclear weapons invested from start, etc). It would be a great map for RP games and for challenges for advanced players if they decide to be little countries. I also hope that admins don´t create big countries from little ones, for example, they just get along all countries of Western Africa and make a big one called "Mali". I prefer the little countries alone, Guinea-Bissau, Gambia, Senegal, etc. What do you think?

    • A good idea, and totally doable technically

However, CoW has demonstrated that Scenario maps weren't that popular, so i doubt they are high priority for Dorado

So, considering it's quite a huge work to gather data, translate it into tech/military units, and then place them on the map (for 100 countries + all non-players), i don't see them doing that soon.

(The 100 map remains to be released, after all, lol)

However, maybe that, once the 100 map is released, they would consider à 50/50 Dorado/Community work, if a bunch of volunteer does the tedious job of designing the map (it takes time. Like... really) with all its "realism" for starting techs, productions, military units (and where), buildings, etc.

It would indeed be marvelous for RP's. But again, the majority of users just want a game with fair starting chances, and decide of its own destiny.

    • New proposed scenario: Alternate history 1945:

In the month succeeding V-E day, a lot has happened. Problems have flocked to every nation. The US: The allied powers fell apart. Eisenhower is only in control of 1 military now. Manhattan project delayed to unforeseen complications.

UK: The British empire fell apart.

The rest of the western allies: Fell apart.

The USSR: Many nations freed themselves from Stalin's grasp. It's just Russia now (this part is just like Europe 1990). The red army will not invade Japan because of transportation problems.

Japan: Well, they keep losing, don't they? But now they just have to defend against an american invasion.

Playable nations: United States, Canada, the UK, France, all of the Socialist republics in Europe 1990, Spain, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Greece, Turkey, Norway, Sweden, USSR, Imperial Japan, China, Australia.

Notice I left out South America, Africa, and the middle east. They weren't at all relevant in 1945. It'd just be a bunch of AIs for players to take, putting forth more potential strategies.

If Germanico accepts this, I will publish tech trees.
    • Since we now have a map based on europe, we should add a map based on asia.

      My lists:

      1. ASIA
the 2 large nations will be China And Western US, add india if possible, i don't see much naval warfare in CoN

      2. Korea
Just add 2 nations, North Korea and South Korea bordered in the DMZ, it would make a good 1v1 map like cow's Britain VS Germany

      3. Middle East
      Afghanistan, Turkey, etc.

      Extra Ideas:

It would be nice if you added the arctic circle and antarctica, US/Soviet Union, used the arctic circle for hiding submarines in the area.

maybe add different unit skins in different maps? like the 1990 map instead of USSR using the T-14 Armata using it as a tier - 3 tank, put the T-90 and, replace T-80's position with the T-72 etc, you get the idea.

    • I don't care what the next scenario is, but I hope it throws in some change. The game gets pretty predictable after a bit and victory points can only be acquired through expansion, so make it unpredictable and have different ways to acquire victory points. Create 4 different globes(that don't look like our current globe), when you guys create the game pick one of the 4. Allow days of peace and size of economy to generate Victory Points.

    • NWE tried exactly that and failed so badly that it hurts me because those are good ideas, player-side. It seems that the overwhelming majority of the marketbase is just not interested in alternative (non-military) victories.

They also had a tool generating a random (geographical and resources !) Continent, and yet it failed :/. I don't think they plan to do that.

    • I think maybe a South China sea scenario might be a good idea. It could be that the small islands are worth large amounts of vp and you try to get a certain amount to win. Players could be Japan, China, US, Australia, South Korea (maybe North Korea too), Indonesia, and Vietnam. It would be a naval focused scenario, and could have a more naval focused tech tree or still just the same as the normal tech tree. For the US. The map would only have parts of each country ei. Only south Eastern China, Southern Japan, the Us base at guam, and maybe some other islands they have in the area.

    • It depends on how big the map would be. I think not all of alaska, it would maybe be a couple of the aleutian islands, but then we might have to have part of russia in it to. Diego garcia would add india in it most likely as well. Im not sure if those we be good or bad

    • Taking a cue from the CoW 100 player map, what about a 56 player north america map, where each state is it's own, and the little ones just get thrown in (i mean delaware?? srsly) then partition canada and mexico in. It could be a US civil war 2020. It could even lend itself to a team game, red v blue.

If resource trading ever comes back it would be fun to have each "state" be absent one or more resources so they need to find people to trade with.

Ok i just had ANOTHER idea about this. You don't start with ANY city's, just a bunch of militia. or ok maybe some low pop cities. towns really, and one major city (capital obv.) that is ~rogue, in that it is federally controlled. you have to seize the capital of your state to basically get the real resources, and a couple of preset bulidings (airbase, lvl 2 army base, factory, and a hospital) and the units guarding the capital are just a national guard unit. So it isn't a tough fight, but it does mean that you can't really day one attack your neighbour before he has even signed in. It effectively causes a 24 hour delay on fighting while you capture and secure your own city.
