I realize this'll be in the far, FAR backlog of things to do, but the fact I cannot christen the name "Ashbringer" to my Carrier, strike fighter wing, or marine division mildly upsets me

Yeah, and, unlike Call of War, please please please make it possible to name divisions and squadrons.

Unit naming should only be an option after they've done something special, like hold off a major enemy assault, or take a city against very strong resistance. It should also come with a buff, either to offense or defense as appropriate, of about 2-3%. Might be too complicated to code but if not it would be nice to see.

*bump*
Any news on this front, @Germanico ?
I mean, you can already name aircraft carriers, so I presume that it's easy to implement the code so that we're able to name at least other ship types. I'd really like to be able to name corvettes, frigates, destroyers and cruisers.
However, priorities first.

No it's not easy. Cause the other units are stackable and the question is what happens to stacks containing named units? Where are they stored? In which Database? How would the system know which one to re assign after splitting?
As you can see there is a bunch of technical and UI issues attached to a seemingly easy request."Going to war without France is like going hunting without an accordion." Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf -
