So I am bit confused, I hit 2 cities less than 12 hours ago with chemical weapons and now both are recovered from the contamination. How is the recovery so quick? Shouldn't this be something that lasts multiple days? Maybe I am misunderstanding something to do with them as I've never been hit by one myself.

Hi DSni,
The moment a city is damaged by a contaminating weapon (such as Chemical or Nuclear missile), it can be decontaminated by a player action. The time needed for decontamination is dependent on how bad it was. -
So 12 hours is long enough to undo a chem weapon? Interesting.

If a chemical weapon can be cleaned up faster than 12 hours I think the time on that needs to be rethought, I don't complain about travel or build time because I see why they need to be what they are but if a chemical or nuke weapon doesn't last 12 hours I think there is an issue.

I believe you can make a thread in the suggestion menu, many players can support you there! Devs might take that into mind too!Have a nice following day

Extremely long decontaminations would result in this: you drop a nuke (or just a chem CM) on a few of your opponents cities and watch smiling as it is gameover for him, leaving him with no economical options in the game. Additionally we developers would be constantly blamed for implementing a hard pay wall - cause that would the only way out for the contaminated player.
Does this scenario sound cool to you? Not for me...
This being said we actually did raise the base decontamination for WMDs a bit. Hope it helps."Going to war without France is like going hunting without an accordion." Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf -
I suppose I understand this, I just feel a minimum of 12-16 hours or so should be how long cleanup takes. Less than 12 hours just feels to short of an amount of time.

It depends on the amount of contamination damage dished out. Smallest Nuke will be somewhere between 12 and 24 h approx."Going to war without France is like going hunting without an accordion." Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf
