I think the devs should enforce tougher rules to prevent spamming, like what happened only minutes ago. I suggest:
1) Making the required time between writing two different threads longer. Maybe 5 minutes. Spammers can't wait that long, but ordinary players can and will.
2) Make a group of 'trusted members'. If a number, like 10 or so, vote on deleting a thread, then it gets deleted. But devs and mods can restore a thread and take away trusted members' privileges. This would keep the power in the hands of the devs but have the players play a role in stopping spamming.
3) Automatically reject threads where the majority of the words or sentences is the same as one posted less than a day ago. Or if the title is very close to the same, as they were this time
These suggestions wouldn't stop spammers, but at least make them have a smaller impact, and allow the forum to be used better for their intended function.
