    • A warning message on declaring war - re-alliances

      Hi,

Could something be put in that when a player declares on another with alliances that a warning message comes up warning of alliances with x country for example

      "Warning

Your about to declare on Italy, there are treaties in place with Egypt and India"

Therefore it does not state the degree of the relationship but warns of potential alliances.

I am suggesting this after another player attacked my mate and found himself at war with two of us, who in turn said he would never had done so knowing we shared a close alliance.

It may make players think twice about attacking each other and make player vs player alliances and protection stronger knowing that if your wanting to attack one, you maybe potentially taking on more than you can handle.
    • It's not a bad idea, but it reduces further the importance of spying (which is arleady quite reduced) and doesn't fit well with how the average player does his diplomacy = 300 military pacts at once. The average country you would plan to attack would be "potentially" allied with 15 countries each time.

And most of the times, those alliances are meaningless like a french guarantee on Poland.
Running an online alliance is pretty much like running a small company, except you need to find other way than money to keep your employees productive. May they play or work, they are humans.
