    • Transport Ships

      I've seen some weird stuff going on with the transport ships. The health points of the transport ships seem to double at random. I'll show some examples below.

      Here we have a transport ship carrying 1 motorized infantry battalion, a CRV, and a mobile anti-air. Now I don't have a screenshot of it but earlier this ship was only at 60 Hp, not 120. It doubled shortly after we reached day 20 in the game.

      Now here we have another transport ship with the exact same units as the previous ship I showed you, yet this one is at 60HP, like the 12th Task Force had awhile ago before we reached the 20th day in game. Why is this happening? I can only assume that it is some sort of bug.

      I also wish to raise this question: Why do the transport ships retain the exact same amount of HP as the units that are being transported by that ship? That seems nearly asinine to me. I am not sure if there was a thread or post explaining why the transport ships work this way but if anyone knows of one, I'd definitely like to see it. Anyway, I found this bug/problem has occurred a couple times now in this game and it can be a little frustrating.
    • I assume that it is because of disembarktion, a different version map(different updates) or it happens due to the difference of high seas and coastal seas.
      The best way to win an arguement is to yell at the other person curses in your own language.
    • I can confirm.

      gameID=2194543

      Hp doubles when groups embarking/dissembarking (probably).

      Thougts about bug:
      1. Units are interpreted as both state - naval and land - which doubles hp.
      2. Not tested in combat but it potentially makes coastal raiding much easier.

      Screen: doubled_hp

      (By the way i think this thread has wrong category. Should be in bugs.)

    • I don't know if this has been asked/answered or not, so don't flame me. Why do the transport ships take on the HPs of the units in them? The units in the ships can't engage anyone. If you leave the ship all by itself in real life it would be sunk regardless of the units it is carrying. It should be a set HP and require users to provide escort to keep them from being sunk. Otherwise, people just load up a ship with 200 HP worth of units and dare anyone to sink it with no escorts or anything.

      In old maps, disembarked units reseived at least double damage from navy enemies and at least half damage from landstrikeforces. By double damage from naval units: double HP is only a picture: unit gonna die as quickly as without double HP but with single damage reseiving.

      This is a mechanic carried over from COW. Not a bug.
      In CoW disembarked units dont have double HP's, but reseive half damage from land units - also almoast double HP, but only for Land unit fighting.

      I will see about new transport ships/disembarking .
