    • I know this is late, but:

I was transporting troops through a coalition member that had recently gone inactive and had left the coalition. We border each other and I was still sending troops though his country to the front on the other side of his country.

The AI decided to change from right of way to peace out of nowhere, and it seemed as if I had invaded his country. I got pulled into a war I didn’t want to be in, and his air forces started hitting my less defended cities and disrupting my resource production and troop mobilization. I ended up having my forces cut in half, but fortunately the AI isn’t too smart and I am doing well against the AI, but it definitely gave me a disadvantage in the game in the long term.

I will be more careful of inactive players and AI now.
    • From a current game playing as Morocco in a 4x Appoclypto match

Got invaded by Algeria who attacked 3 nations at once and took his land instead. Got invaded by Spain in a very painful battle of Tangiers (my x2 components rip). Since there's only one land province out of Tangiers other than port i managed to corner his troops to death with arty and national guard while my corvettes fought of his corvettes, and then proceeded to use those now very precious (no components) corvettes to escort my 2 tanks (no components r.i.p.) and conquered his homeland alongside infantry. Several days of peace and prosperity go through my lands. Now i got fighters, tanks, and mechanized after rebuilding and using Spain's components (Tangiers is at 1 population after arty bombardment).

Then one night i look up in the sky and see 3 giant metal Greek whales( bombers) flying over Constantine toward my capital. Learning from the fall of Tangiers i had fighters patrolling my coastal seaboard for and arty on the lookout. Scramble all my F-5 tigers under the command of Captain Ahab to kill the whales. The whales bravery should be noted as they pushed until half a bomber was left to hit my capital taking 24 hours to repair it all. Immediately send all my fighters into the Mediterranean in search of an invasion force. Then a flock of 5 UAV's appeared in Algeria. i send in 2 fighters and have my other 2 radar sweep towards Italy. Now at this time i only have 3 corvettes for a navy and Greece in all its Ancient glory has 12 marine battalions, 6 arty, 1 AA, 10 regular inf, and a bunch of other blimps on the radar. So after Captain Ahab killed the seagulls i had him and his crew follow and identify the blimps while my 3 corvettes moved to Algiers as a delaying tactic as i get my first destroyers built. At this point i realized he is online after seeing his forces reroute South toward Tunis (Incoming 2nd salting of Carthage) and its 2 inf battalions. My Armored Anti-Libya Invasion force had to cancel their trip to head to Tunis to respond to the Greek hoplites. My corvettes accidentally hit 6 man marine force on the way to Algiers and after wondering why my fighters didn't see it i realized this guy has no navy escorts....

In a diabolical lab in Marrakesh a scientist came up with a plan using the Apocalyptic powers of nukes to build a ballistic missile. And so my 2 battalions in Tunis retreated to the neighboring mountain providence where they built a army base as they waited for the should have killed all of Libya armored task force to reinforce. As Alexander the Great (Greece) lead his troops to the shores of Tunis my corvettes finished off the marines and headed to the only sea-point out of Tunis. It was here the Captain Ahab took pictures of the army while no ship escorts could be found. And On Day 18 late in the evening that a ballistic missile was launched an killed 15,000 troops standing on the streets of Tunis as Corvettes killed any ship that swam away. Tanks and Mechanized infantry of the anti-Libya division swept up what was left in Tunis and pushed to the coast for stragglers, it was here they learned that they were not in Libya.

My armored force was then sent to Sicily to counter attack under the escort of my corvettes. It was here the corvettes met the first Greek destroyer and died escorting those tanks to Italy where they remain to this day.
Captain Ahab went on to become a reconnaissance pilot in the Mediterranean, he is still watching for whales in both the sky and the sea.

Flipping the rug underneath them. Made me getting 5 hours of sleep worth it.
