Joining Games in Other Languages (increase available games and nations)

    • Hi Bohemian,

      I'll gladly explain the process.

      a) you need to be a member of the security council to start a game
      b) you will then be able to open games but ONLY the small 20 player map (we simply can't allow the big world map to be player generated - as explained elsewhere on this forum)
      c) you can also lock said game via password, should you for instance only want to play with certain people or use it as a testing grounds

So unfortunately you won't be able to simply create a game with Australia BUT I have a possible tip you can try (it involves some language switching though).
Presently we are segregating maps by user language - so all you commonly see is English. Now do the following:

      - notice the little language button at the top right of the screen
      - select another popular language (german, french, spanish, etc)
      - now go to the NEW GAMES tab (called something else now) where the running games are displayed
      - look for a fresh and mostly unpopulated 64 map
      - cross fingers and hope Australia is free
      - after entering reset the landing page language to English
      - please note some info in the new game will be defaulting to the foreign language so it may require some translation (we are planning on fully localizing everything in the client but until then this is all we can offer)

In this way you massively increase the amount of joinable 64er games.
Also please note that if you simply close a the browser tab in the nation selection screen, this game will then drop you again after a short time freeing up that slot.
So there is no need to actually play a map if you don't find the right nation - at least not as long as you don't really start playing...

      Hope it helps!
