    • How do you counter Multiple Rocket Launchers?

So guys i was playing as the USA and I was fighting Mozambique and they had a ton of Multiple Rocket Launchers. Every single division had at least 1. So just asking does anybody know their weaknesses? And units that expose them?
      Famous quotes from me:
      "Just my important opinion"
"The best player is the player who is patient, who is clever and who is ruthless."
"I'm really great at diplomacy, terrible at strategy ;) "
    • Multiple Rocket Launchers have been nerfed from their prior stats :

They have the longest range of all artilleries, and have no direct counter (in terms of artillery). The best strategy against them is "close combat".

Mobile artillery do better damage output than them if you close the distance.

It's exactly like the railgun on S1914 : you just need to be "decisive" on your charge. This kind of weapon feeds on your hesitation
Running an online alliance is pretty much like running a small company, except you need to find other way than money to keep your employees productive. May they play or work, they are humans.
    • Can't say as the only information you gave about the ennemy grousp is "they have 1 MRL per group", but if i do some speculations, let's just say that

At worst, you push him back (MRL need time to deal a high damage output)
      At best, you exterminate him.

Of course, if he has 9 antitank + 1 MRL in cities, you will get rekt.

But if his group is... let's say, a group with 5 mech infantries, 4 combat fighting vehicle, and 1 MRL, and that you attack with 5 MBT + 5 mech infantries

      you will obliterate him

    • Okay

Well all the intelligence I have got so far is 1 or more MRLs with some mechanized infantry, it doesn't say how many(I do intelligence by flying stealth planes over the city).

But I am sending a pretty big force

So I think I will exterminate him

    • airplanes and helicopters :) easiest way of taking them down

      Really, this.

If there is a large stack of Artillery and you do not wish for your troops to sustain that much damage, then your best bet would be to attack from the Air with either Strike Fighters or Attack Helicopters.
“It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather, we should thank God that such men lived.”

    • Yeah. I re-read and i was focus-minded on ground vs ground combat

If you can, definitely use airplanes and helicopters !

    • I think i already answered this topic elsewhere :).

Airplane range vs Helicopter range depends on a grand strategy approach of density of province, and your understanding of if you see yourself needing air support :

1°) Offensively, behind the ennemy lines
2°) Offensively, close to your own groups
3°) Defensively, close to your own groups
4°) Defensively, to answer very quick.

Depending on your need, you will usually see that gunships and attack helicopters answer to a paradigm of "pure efficiency" (high damage output/lower cost/production) that is really interesting under several contexts. To the contrary, airplanes answer to a paradigm of "high flexibility" and extended costs.

While i prefer airplanes due to their potency, i find myself more and more using helicopters in some continents, because the spared resources acquired thanks to their "specialist optimised genetics" allow me to invest for other projects.

Butchering rogue states with gunships is one small example.

    • I use gunships when I am :

      a)Eastern doctrine

b)A small nation needing cheap and cheerful.

I prefer strike fighters, and if you upgrade them to a pretty high rank then put them in groups of 5 each they are lethal. A lot of players use that trick actually.

    • Yes. It's the most usual airforce you'll see.

Now, there is this detail that i encountered in my internal game, so, it was with many active players and surely not representative of all public games... but....

In late game, anti-air is sufficiently potent to crush the airforce per attrition within a few days, even while your careful.

In this hell of anti-air bubble everywhere... i found myself using helicopters... because it was the last flying thing that still could operate without a lethal risk

    • I like stealth too ^^. But it's an expensive asset to get, and it's precisely what many of the game choices are about.

    • Well i guess so

Ps.Why is it that they swatched Ballistic and Cruise missile research and stuff around? Ballistic uses more warheads, does higher damage
