  • An International Monetary Fund System

I have played Conflict of nations and i admit i am a pretty heavy spender on defense Seeing i have played as Iraq trying to keep up with Iran or Belarus or Syria and i run out of money alot and fast I wanted to propose a new system to help debt ridden nations fix themselves by having an International Bank for nations to loan from

    How it will work
One way is have the nation take a loan and when a nation takes the loan the nations money production is lowered by a slight margin to the players choosing but it cant be less than 15 (insert currency here) Say Iraq makes 450 and hour Iraq takes a loan of 300 Dollars in order to pay it he decreases his income to 420 per hour and has 30 Dollars an hour to pay for the Debt

Second way is a player takes a loan then just pays up front say Syria has is Fighting Israel and takes a loan of 5000 dollars to produce those new t-80s and when he gets the money he pays off the debt

    A limited amount of money
Seeing this might devalue gold by a noticeable margin i would say put a limit E.G. Max.10,000 or any number around there

Yeah it might sound wacky or maybe hard but i think an addition of this would make the game a more modern touch :)

  • Not according to production its a limited loan that will help players in need of money

  • @Germanico yes but for players who don't really buy gold and you can buy everything with gold and not be in Debt it would add more realism to the game and also help players who can't or won't buy gold

  • Let me put it into a slightly different context so it becomes more clear:

In your proposal, you are asking a bakery about opening a second shop next door, payed by the first, handing out free cake to the guys who don't want to buy cake from the first shop.

  • Not really not opening another "baking shop" just adding samples of a meaning you can only taste a Limited amount of one flavor

  • Dorado is the first bakery and your suggestion is the second bakery. While you the second bakery embraces socialism, the first bakery embraces capitalism. While your guise of "play-ability" is admiral, it works against their business model, and there is no free cake in that.
"For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul?" -
  • Well the fact is that the second bakery is using a strategic capitalist tactic to attract buyers to want more of a shop that they can trust not one where you lose your money to something you wouldn't trust to put in a Modern perspective Shop 1(USA) gives Samples(Weapons) to John(Iraq) so john says mmm i love this bread i want more of this next time i am hungry(Iran) it would all be capitalism giving a limited supply to attract more income to Shop 1
