      This years world cup has already set emotions high for the rooting supporters, with teams ever inching closer to the top of their group. Smaller nations are showing the world that they will not be pushed around, taking the tournament by storm with over 4 teams representing smaller nations and boasting the top 2 placements in their group. Will Spain and Portugal cross paths again? Will Iceland catch up to the Croatian team? Serbia and Switzerland have proven to be a worthy opponent to the historic Brazilian team. Belgium and England seem to be dominating their Group, but will they lose momentum to the Tunisian team? Germany still have the opportunity to rise to the top in their group, depending on the outcome of Mexico vs Sweden.

      Tensions are running high as the result of introductory games have kicked it up a gear and teams are readjust their strategy to secure their position. With the current results in mind, new competitors have entered the foray for our selected teams. Look out for a sale when you see one of the following teams:

      Many teams have fallen out of the competition, no thanks to the cruel answer lady luck provides from time to time. We have reached a tumultuous Quarter final stage, who are you anticipating will move on to the semi finale stage?

      The quarter finals and the semi finals (no less) were equally electrifying! Belgium brought their A game, and France fought tooth and nail to ensure that victory is theirs. Lest we forget the incredible comeback Croatia made agains the Three lions; who succumbed to the extra time which was required of them. The two following games are the culmination of a hard fought tournament. A well done to all the finalists, the time they have been waiting for has arrived.

      Alas, the world cup has come to an end, and it's been a great one at that. All teams wore their heart on their sleeve and it shows, although sometimes tensions rose and players clashed, the sportsmanship at times was outright inspiring. A well done is also in order to the hosts, Russia.

    • Holy cow - if this goes on like it started... The match Portugal vs Spain was worthy of a final, not an opener.
      We rooted for Spain so they are the "winners" in this draw - but the skill displayed by Ronaldo is something we will be telling our grand-children about. Absolutely out of this world.
      Only sad it had to end and didn't go on into overtime or penalties. Think I need to play a round of Fifa or PES. (yeah - I got both)
