Simple question, is there any Difference at all in setting a unit to move anywhere, for example into a City where an enemy unit is or setting it to attack that unit, any benefit or differences in doing either one, I've tested it and I did not see anything, but want to be sure, thanks.

would depend on the unit"There are only two types of aircraft — fighters and targets."
— Doyle 'Wahoo' Nicholson, USMC. -
The most commonly used difference for units is in regards to the behavior of artillery:
If you give an arty unit (or a stack of units containing arty) an "ATTACK" command the stack or arty unit will close into range and then engage, not moving further until the enemy is defeated or removed etc.
Setting the same stack or arty unit to "MOVE" they will move against the enemy position IGNORING the possibility of range-attacking.
Sometimes I use move-orders if I don't want my stacked arty to slow down and commence firing, instead simply adding their combat stats to the close combat values of the stack (I eg. like Mobile Arty which is beefy enough to go alongside tanks in the front line).
Hope that helps.

With the new update it is worth a second look.
Tier 3 Infantry has now ranged attack, so if One of these is in your stack and you choose "Attack" the stack will stop 20 clicks before the target and comences the ranged attack.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

correct - it is technically a ranged (arty) unit."Going to war without France is like going hunting without an accordion." Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf

So the best option is to have premium to have fire control options, set a unit to aggressive and just move it."For what shall it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his soul?" -

If you give attack order and you are not online, your unit might chase them to far, if they would retreat, I suspect.

Motorized infantry tier 3, even though it's ranged, doesn't have fire control feature.

Oh, good to know,... is that a bug or a feature?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It is a feature. We felt it would be too overpowered.

i agree lol. May they play or work, they are humans.
