      + + + + DEV DIARY: ENTRY 11 + + + +
It's been sometime since the last Dev-Diary was posted, this being the first one for the year. In recent months the teams have been releasing a steady stream of updates, making sure to strike a balance in all areas of the game and providing the playerbase with a unique experience that is the Conflict of Nations game! While we're constantly refining the way you interact and play against one another, we have many other exciting tasks and plans in the pipeline for future releases. We intend on expanding the team, which in turn allows us to provide you with fresh and much requested future content!
Without further ado, here's what we're working on as of writing this:

      New and Improved Map

Since Nationalization has been disabled, the Overkill map has been taken off rotation for a general overhaul. After two months of tweaks and improvements, it is about to make its debut. This latest iteration will feature the world map with up to 128 playable nations. Sea province names are also going to be introduced for Overkill (similar to World War 3) allowing you to identify these provinces in the Events notifications.

      Mobile Development

Development for the mobile application is well underway, to speed up the process and juggle development tasks we are calling in reinforcements to assist us with Mobile development. Migrating our game (or any game, for the matter) over to a mobile platform is no small undertaking, so this is a big development project which has a lot of resources allocated-to.

      Map Events / Map Rotation

With Easter over, we are returning to a weekly/weekend rotation of maps to keep content fresh. Be sure to keep an eye out on weekends for special maps that are only available during that period!

      Bug fixes

Developers are working on fixes which are prepared for release this week which will address air combat and refine it further.

With all this being said, I hope you've been enjoying the steady flow of changes to CoN, we listen to your feedback and welcome players into the community channels.

      Sea Province names are great
Oddities in air combat too !
Running an online alliance is pretty much like running a small company, except you need to find other way than money to keep your employees productive. May they play or work, they are humans.
