    • This massively divers.
It is related to the type of the map (Flashpoint will normally finish much faster, WWIII will take Month ;)

Also it depends what players are in and how things evolve.
Even a Flashpoint can end in a maxican standoff which lasts until anyone looses the nerves or quit ^^

    • Yes as mentioned the smaller maps take shorter, but you have to also remember that there might be other players committed in the game, and it can last longer then the usual.

Smaller maps as Flashpoint, Middle East Crisis, 1990, 20 - 30 days usually.
Bigger maps as WWIII, Overkill and similar, might take usually from 40 - 60 days, depends if the nations conquering the world have it all smooth, sometimes you might encounter other good players, and still have many opponents to tackle in the game later. There has been maps taken have taken over 100 days to finish, as both coalition or players wanted their sweet victory.
      Have a nice following day

    • Just cant understand why need so MANY victory points to finish game ... 5000+ points for 5 people coalition, thats whole world to control. Why ? All real battle and competition already finished long time ago, all competitors crushed .... why I shall spent more 1 week real life time for huge micro managment and stupid war against insurgents ???

Its about WW3 map, all finished on day 36 (no one gold spenders), but here now is 45th day already.

      Because
      a) you have the option to vote to end the game if only a handful of active players are left and you all concur that you're happy with the current outcome, and
      b) the VPs on WW3 have been significantly lower at some point, with the result that players who spent a lot of time (and money) developing their armies and economies suddenly found themselves with a finished game - and weren't too happy about it.

It's certainly not a perfect system, but there's your reason :)
