simple question: whose idea it was to make new super/season unit that have smallest range (not counting carriers for obvious reasons) among any kind of naval units in this game?
the ppl trying not to make it OPthe 50 range is all you need
For what? To lost them while you're offline? They're not OP, it's quite possible that as for now - they're worst unit in this game. They're suited to shallow waters naval fight, alto they lack range, so against active opponent - they're useless. So, whose brilliant idea it was to give those new subs smallest attack range among any naval unit except for carriers?

they can only be seen in sightrange, which is like 40 for naval units
and them not having sonar signature at T2 makes them incredible strong
and any unit can be lost when being offline :D
I am The Baseline for opinions

great, so I'll spot them and all I need to do is move back outside of their range, send spotter to see them - they will be still destroyed with small loses on my side.
Yeah, all can, but some are easier to be destroyed because of lack of balance in units attack range (many times did that against field/SP artillery or corvettes). Grin on that.

Thats exactly the point, rarely does anyone ever have spotters for elite submarines. You need units that can see submarines on sight range. Ships are not a good choice because the elite submarine has a greater sightrange, can spot the ship and either sink it or drive away.

This leaves us with ASW Helis and Marine Patrol Aircraft. Two rarely seen units ;)
