Does anyone use Random for nation selection? I never hear anyone mention it. I think I'm going to start trying it. I can't think of any nations I still actively "want" to try, and having to start with whatever the game gives me might be a fun challenge. Do any of you regularly do this? Would you be willing to? Why or why not?
Do You Even Random, Bro?

I haven't ever used it, expect perhaps once accidentally, but I have heard TheB2 mention doing it once on a video of his. It seemed to work out quite well for him, and I would consider it quite the challenge. I tend to avoid doing that in order to ensure that I maximizes my chances of obtaining a geographically advantaged nation with doctrine and various other features that align with my intended strategy for that match. I might consider doing it sometime later for the sheer challenge of it though.

Try playing Serbia and you’ll never get bored

Indeed, indeed. Those nations marked for experienced players are certainly extremely challenging and stimulating for those who are very capable and have a quarter ton's worth of free time.

Random is mostly a feature for alliance challenges

Definitely a good setting to use for the challenge of it.

Yes, although all else being equal, a geographically superior nation will triumph over a geographically inferior one.
