    • Besides utilizing an integrated air defense system incorporating a synthesis of ground-based anti-air and air superiority fighters, the other way to counter strong enemy ASF stacks is to mix unit types in order to tank damage. I once read that naval strikes are particularly excellent at this, but the concept itself is simply an extension of land warfare strategies like stacking ngs with tanks to protect them. An example would be escorting a strike package of three strikers with seven air sup, or rather padding the seven air sup stack in combat with three strikers, by grouping 4 air sup with 1 strike and 3 air sup with 2 strike. Since most air sup stacks, at least in early game, will only do enough damage to kill one fighter squadron and lightly damage another (5*6=30), splitting this damage will preserve both squadrons, battered but alive to fight another day. Combining this with an integrated air defense system enables a robust low risk method of assuring air superiority over an security envelope.
    • i do that with my air supp all the time. usually have 4 - 5 early and not much use by self later except defense. so will mix 1 air supp/4 strikes and the air supp takes a disproportionate amount of damage which keeps my strikes fresh. if stack take 6 damage from ground when attacking basically the 1 Air supp gets 3 hp and the other 4 strikes split 3 hp or only .75 per plane. then once get beat up too bad send Air supp to a regional high level hospital to heal at 3 - 4 HP per day and rotate in a newly healed air supp to replace. If think opponent has decent airs squads too then will hold them back and stack my 4 - 5 air supp to clear out enemy air. and if lull in actin or need to wait till build next advancing airbase .. send all my fighters back to hospital away from danger .. all fresh for next day

    • Most of the time no one attack me untill only 2 coalitions are left in the game.
      Reason is simple,I usually stay at number 1 or number 2 rank and play only countries having atleast 7 cities,most of the time I play as an Island nation and protect my cities with navy.I recently bought security council membership and with naval units set to agressive they destroy everything which come in their way.

      Japan has 7 cities,I think you are missing the island of sapporo close to russia ,it is homeland city of japan too.I can write a whole article on strategies of playing as an island nation and why japan is the best but dont have time,people who usually play know it.

      Just please play Eastern Doctrine. You actually dont really need a huge ass naval force to win the game. Abusing the AA comp of Spetsnaz+ Airborne+ MAA+ (SAM) + CRV+ TD. Broken as heck if enemy has limited arty. But common, you will AA to least expected place right?
      Definitely good units to use in Eastern. I just simplify with something that can destroy soft, hard, fighter, and sometimes heli targets, so usually just SOF+TD works for an air assault. I then attach Airborne, MAAV, and SAM to the air assault group as necessary to enable required mission-enabling services. I never use CRV unless it’s a must or early game since they’re basically worthless mid-late game. I love doing that against an enemy with a lot of arty also; a massive AA stack coming down on an enormous arty stack...
