Understanding victory points come only from cities (which can grow) and provinces... is there a general idea of how many cities or VP you need to get to before you can expect to win through just growing your cities and defending?
I understand it is different on each map so lets just use Flashpoint and a 3 person (maxed) coalition.
Assuming my coalition is in the lead and has 66 cities and about 750 VP of the 2250 needed, is there any general way to know how far we need to grow before we could just turtle up, defend and focus on growing city size?
I understand the game is a dynamic situation so I'm looking for the simplest answer and I get that it depends. Another coalition (or player) could attack and weaken us or could outgrow us. Maybe I should ask if the game ever becomes just a production/growth race or if it is pretty much just total domination via war. Are we essentially forced to attack the second largest coalition or can we just outgrow them to win?
