It would be really cool to get an animated replay of how your country expanded, similar to the replays offered by games like Starcraft II. Do you guys save state for example after each territory is taken? If you can provide the data I can help build a replay viewer. Otherwise, I guess one can chromecast and do a timelapse, lol but that is horrible.

I believe this should be high on the shortlist for developers.

I don't think it even on the to-do list. Unless they going to charge us gold or premium account only. But I wouldn't mind if they do that. better then nothing. This post was made by Leader of the Church of ROAD

They already have the data especially for cities. You can find it in news. They probably have the data for every province but not using.
It's small data in the database. No need for more space on server. It's already deleted when your game go archive even if you win. -
Zemunelo, I don't think you are talking about the same thing we are here.. we are talking about actual game replay not just a god damn news log. This post was made by Leader of the Church of ROAD

I believe it would be far to costly to save such data, would need far to much storage space.

"animated replay of how your country expanded"
And after that asked:
"Do you guys save state for example after each territory is taken?".
He also said he can help creating replay viewer if they can provide the data about "taken teritories".
So yes I am talking about the same thing.
They have the data and use that data to show you what happened in news. Every city taken is in the news. That means when territory (city) change the ownership, small data is written in the database.
If you have adequate replay viewer you can use that data to recreate what happened in the game. - Zemunelo, I don't think you are talking about the same thing we are here.. we are talking about actual game replay not just a god damn news log.

lol i've spent enough to finance this feature for this game but yeah it doesn't need too much data, it's not storing much more than troop movements, state of provinces, cities, etc. I suppose you could store resource status too if you want. In any case, Starcraft 2 has a great model for this. It would be a fun engineering challenge.
