- (Northern-Carribean Island Nation. A small island nation, Cuba will require a strong military to safeguard itself against a potential invasion from the United States. Following a potential conflict with the United States, or a potential alliance however, Cuba's homeland provinces will be particularly secure against any nation across the Atlantic.)
- (Central European Nation. Czechia must contend with larger German and Polish neighbours to the north, and its small Austria and Slovakian neighbours to the South. With many potential allies and enemies, this nation is well-suited for players who favour diplomacy.)
- (Northern-European Nation. This sub-arctic country is dominated by flat plains, forests and many lakes. Having resisted invasions in the past, Finland knows that it must use its terrain to its advantage.)
- (Western-European Nation. With access to the Mediterranean Sea and the English Channel, France can easily become the center of attention early on in the game. Mountains protect the South and East, but its Eastern border is particularly inviting to Germany.)
- (Central European Nation. Situated at the centre of the continent and surrounded by strong nations, Germany is the motor of Europe. Similar to its recent history, it faces the decision between all-out war or binding pacts. Which will it be this time?)
- (Peninsular Southern-European Nation. Located on the southern tip of the Balkans, stretching far into the Mediterranean Sea, Greece is poised to be at the centre of attention of Turkey and it's northern neighbours.)
- (Small Central-European Nation. Hungary has been at the crossroads of Europe for over a millenia, while having played its role in many wars of the past. After the fall of communism its loyalties have been shifting, and where the road will lead is yet to be seen.)
- (Middle-Eastern Nation. With Turkey to its north west, Syria to its direct west, and Russia to its north, Iran faces a challenging start to approach these neighbours, whether through diplomacy or conquest.)
- (Western European Island Nation. Modern Ireland traces its roots to the uprising against the British in the early 20th century. Now that the United Kingdom is dissolving, Ireland senses the time has come to repay old debts.)
- (Peninsular Southern-European Nation. Located on the Italian boot, this nation almost plays like an island country. Shielded by the Mediterranean it shares only a short border with France while the Alps shield it from the North. Well suited for naval players.)
- (Scandinavian Nation. The rugged western coastline of Scandinavia shares a long eastern border with Sweden and a northern border with Russia, so alliances should play a key role in the developement of this nation.)
- (Central European Nation. Rising from the Baltic Sea, north of the Carpathian Mountains, in the South, Poland's immediate attention will be on Germany in the West, while keeping a watchful eye along it's Eastern borders.)
- (Western-European Nation. Located on the Iberian Peninsula, it shares a large border with Spain. Portugal will need to plan carefully how to react to its larger neighbour. Following this - there is a question of the Atlantic Ocean, where a strong navy will be needed to defend its homeland cities.)
- (Eastern-European Nation. Located in Southeastern Europe, Romania is a large and populous nation whose potential lies in rapid and aggressive expansion into the Balkans and beyond.)
- (Far Eastern-European Nation. Spanning eleven time zones from Europe to Asia the military victor of the last world war is enormous - as is the task of managing this behemoth of a nation. Comprised of a diverse landscape rich in resources, Russia is a force to reckon with. ADVICE: Best suited for experienced players.)

- (Western-European Nation. Situated on the Iberian Peninsula in Western Europe, Spain controls the access to the Mediterranean Sea. With France as a neighbour in the North, and Portugal in the West, diplomacy is of the essence.
- (Scandinavian Nation. Located on the Scandinavian Peninsula in Northern Europe, this nation almost immediately runs out of space and has to come to terms with its neighbours - either as allies or enemies.)
- (Middle-Eastern Nation. This ancient country, once believed to contain the Garden of Eden, today is anything but paradise on Earth. ADVICE: Best suited for experienced players.)
- (Middle-Eastern Nation. A transcontinental nation in Eurasia, Turkey is surrounded by seas with a high mountain range framing it's eastern border. Due to its location, varying terrain, and the strategically important Isthmus of Istanbul, Turkey holds a key role in the Middle East.)
- (Eastern-European Nation. Situated in the vast plains of Eastern Europe, Ukraine's early focus will be preparing itself for an alliance or confrontation with Russia.)
- (Western-European Island Nation. The UK's strength has always been its navy. Being an island nation makes for a slower start, especially now that Scotland has declared its independence. Suitable for players looking to create a safe haven in troubled times.)
- (Large Nation. A vast and powerful nation spanning the continent from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean, this is the economical powerhouse of the Western world. Owing to their size the United States first and foremost require rapid deployment technology and a strong navy. ADVICE: Best suited for experienced players.)
