What do you prefer researching on day 1 ? (Any doctrine) Because day 1 has our economy limited . So what should be researched ?

Depends on the nation you start with. There is no universally good answer to that question - which is why this is a good strategy game.
I mean, I almost always start with motorized infantry, but after that, it *all* depends. If I'm an island nation, I'll focus on naval units next. If i'm in Europe, I'm going choppers. If Africa or Asia, its jets or choppers, depending on my mood/resources. America's I go more towards armor.
And is any of that "right"? No clue!! -
Gunships/ASF/CRV are top candidates for day one researchI am The Baseline for opinions

Rather dependent on doctrine; here’s my day 1-2ish research:
Eastern: Mot. Inf, Helicopter Gunship, then Corvette/Destroyer
European: Mech. Inf, Strike Fighter
Western: Mot. Inf, ASF, Corvette/DestroyerCurrently on (potentially permanent) hiatus
Instead of choosing wings to fly, we chose hands to hold with each other.
Yet the sky still fascinates us, is it such a crime to keep on dreaming? -
It is really confusing to choose . Most of the times , I research Basic Infantry and then Gunship .
Is researching Infantry Officer on first day useful ? -
I personally wouldn't get an infantry officer because it is similar to a tank and it can only help a little early game. Late game, any decently strong mele unit will just get yeeted by artillery.
-
But how do you deal with players who focus on MAAV and TA from the beginning of the game? Can't Gunship take on the MAAV, or am I missing something?
I'm sorry if my English is bad. -
Infantry officer cannot deal with that either. They will just hit and run you.
Maybe try and build mobile artillery? lol -

Don't research officers very early . They take a lot of resources and thus , you can't produce units early game of you produce infantry officer .

I produce the Naval Officer ASAP, and the infantry officer isn't that expensive either, any others, well yeah, sure, you need good production.*** The Creator of Zombie Farming ***

It depends. As an island, I research corvettes day 1 or 2, as well as motorized infantry.
If I am in eastern nation, usually tanks and motorized infantry.
Landlocked nation in europe, probably infantry and strike fighters.
Western nation, infantry and air superiority fighter."Le patriotisme, c'est aimer son pays. Le nationalisme, c'est détester celui des autres."-Charles De Gaulle, Leader of Free France in World War 2.

If you can spare the resources I think the infantry officer is valuable after a week or two; but the main advantage IMO is the ability to negate entrenchment bonus as well as increased speed of units. If you have to attack a city that has bunkers it helps tremendously.

I assumed it didn't since it wasn't part of the "buffs" -
I was hoping to see an answer to this question...
@Germanico
Does the entrenchment bonus extend to units in the stack of the same type?
