So i was thinking.. Naval infantry and Amphibious combat vehicles can land on any land without need a port, well what if you could put naval infantry and Amphibious combat vehicles on aircraft carries to kind of better protect them, that would make carriers a little more viable

because loosing carriers to enemy boarding actions is such a common occurence?I am The Baseline for opinions

you can, sort of.
You can stack those naval units with your carrier. Thatll give them more protection and they will move as you command your carrier.but, that's just my 2 cents' worth -
it doesnt give more protection; just more kills for whatever decides to attack the stackI am The Baseline for opinions

Doesn't damage taken by a stack spread evenly between the units comprising the stack?but, that's just my 2 cents' worth
-
no, it's a bit more ... well, tied to the discrepancies between hard/soft value, the percentage of HP units represent in the stack, and also some arbitrary design values for some support or cannon fodder units.
In late game with high damage units and big stacks, you ultimately come to relatively "balanced" damages throughout the stacks, but in early and specialised units, it's not that :pRunning an online alliance is pretty much like running a small company, except you need to find other way than money to keep your employees productive. Well the damage is shared between units in the stack nonetheless. So a naval inf unit stacked with a carrier will share a certain percentage of incomming damage with the carrier. Thus, it kind of adds resilience to that naval inf unit, which has very low HP in water. Thats the original point I was trying to make.
When invading coastal cities I like to stack ground units with one of my naval stacks, just so they wont be an easy "one shot one kill".but, that's just my 2 cents' worth -

a single transport has 12 HP; at max that makes only like ... 48 additional HP
there's better places to get rid of unwanted units lol
and naval stacks in general will never be oneshotted; unless ofc its just a single ship, then it might die instantly...but even then navy has insane amount of HPI am The Baseline for opinions -
I think you have my thought backwards;
Im suggesting stacking the transports with naval ships to protect the transports... because the transports can be one-shotted by strong naval stacks.but, that's just my 2 cents' worth -
technically you are right, yes.
Now, in terms of "operational wisdom", we advise against itRunning an online alliance is pretty much like running a small company, except you need to find other way than money to keep your employees productive. May they play or work, they are humans. -
I often stack infantry with a random warship, what your suggesting makes perfect sense to me. If you get in a sea battle just split the troops away from the baddies and scoot.
If your transport stack gets caught by a solo enemy corvette enroute to an invasion it's not fun. -
Transports slow down ur shipstack lmao
-
yeah so what - main task force(s) of warships arrive first to scout and bombard anyway LMAO
git gud kid -
Imagine playing naval and scouting with your ship's radar

putting a warship with a naval convoy is a good idea. More precisely, i think frigates are the more suited for this role.Running an online alliance is pretty much like running a small company, except you need to find other way than money to keep your employees productive. Yes, but it wouldn't seem "odd" to me that once in a more established mid-late game, the naval guy also develop some naval infantry + amphibious afv in order to be more autonomous and agressiveRunning an online alliance is pretty much like running a small company, except you need to find other way than money to keep your employees productive.
