I wonder if I could get in on designing games? It would be fun to flex some creativity. Maybe a double map where we start on the Earth, but can conquer the Moon.
How will you name the moon provinces , Also what about the terrain ? . And the cities ? Moon has no oceans so does it mean that there won't be any naval warfare there ? A moon map will be interesting but these things will be a problem .

The provinces will be named after the most relevant local features, such as craters or mares. Certainly their would be a Tycho province named after the Tycho crater, a Huygens province named after the Moon's highest mountain, An Imbrium province named after the Mare Imbrium, etc.

Cities would be domes or warrens, with smaller mining settlements for resources.

There would have to be special branches on the tech tree, for transport between Earth and Moon, and for travel on the Lunar surface and in low and high Lunar orbit.

    • Likely too much for the devs to do lol
Although it would be interesting to play
Also why would anyone bother trying to conquer the moon when all the VPs are on Earth? There aren't any countries on the moon... right?
      Currently on (potentially permanent) hiatus

Instead of choosing wings to fly, we chose hands to hold with each other.

Yet the sky still fascinates us, is it such a crime to keep on dreaming?

advanced space countries will have colonies on moon . For e.g New America or New Russia . But how many countries will have colonies is a problem.

Well imagine that you have special missiles launchable from the Moon which, due to the Moon's low gravity and lack of atmosphere, require very little fuel to launch and can be used against targets on Earth. That would be a strong tactical advantage.

However, since we start the game out as present-day, nobody has a single person on the moon. So why go out of the way to build a colony there?
If we’re going to fight on the moon then Wen must as well make it just the moon only, which will still need a lot of work and a completely new research tree AND buildings, and quite a lot of research on potential sites for habitation. And will the devs have made it already terraformed? That’s quite a lot of time, research and decisions for a map smaller than earth which we have absolutely no experience with.
It’s a nice idea, as said, but I’m not exactly a fan.

Ballistic Missiles will be easier and cheaper to produce instead of going all the way to build the right buildings on a place hundreds of thousands of kilometers from your comfortable homeland.

Also I just realized the devs will also have to add spare centers and space shuttles and the like.

Maybe it can be a future map where there are colonies on moon . USA Russia China Japan France Luxembourg India Britain and some more countries with space programs will have those colonies .
    • Here's an idea if they're going to add moon colonizing games

      - Players need to hit a certain milestone in a game (E.G: a certain amount of V.Ps) in order to gain acces to the moon's surface, Players send special units (Probably no infantry involved) in order to capture victory sites there

      Or maybe

      - They should design a brand new map for the moon and each player start at the sepecific place there

Lemme know what do you think dudes ;)
