When your carrier group is moving from A to B it would be really helpful if you could deploy air cover to patrol around the craft while you move. Force them to land every few hours to refuel and then return to their designated traffic pattern around the ships.

A very good feature, but "SIMPLE", i do not know. When you send an aircraft somewhere its "center" (and so, the radius) is calculated from rigid cartesian coordinates. This implies vectors, taking into account speed, as well as a real "fuel time" that actually doesn't exist.
So, a very good feature that would benefit the aero-naval style play, but not a simple thing to doRunning an online alliance is pretty much like running a small company, except you need to find other way than money to keep your employees productive. May they play or work, they are humans. -
