YES!!! This map looks fantastic to me! I am an American. I was born in (and raised near) Youngstown, Ohio, and I'm moving permanently to Rochester, New York, in a couple of weeks. Both of these cities are Homeland cities on the new map. That gives it a nice personal touch for me. Also, like every American, I've experienced the recent division in the United States. So, this entire idea of leading my home state of Ohio or my new state of New York to North/Central American domination is REALLY appealing/exciting to me.

That being said,... Can a brother get a 4x speed version of this map, please? I struggle to stay current on 1x games, and I'm much more comfortable in 4x. If there are plans to offer 4x, could someone give me an idea when that might be? @Germanico @Yak

    • WIP: Texas, Washington

      - American Georgia
      • (Southeastern American State. One of the original thirteen colonies of the United States. Birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his philosophy of non-violence unfortunately cast aside as the state of Georgia becomes embroiled in civil war. Can this state prevail, and finally realise Dr. King's dream?)
      - Arizona
      • (Southwestern American State. Home to the Grand Canyon, a massive geological marvel with nearly two billion years of Earth's geological history carved within its walls. Will this state prevail in the upcoming civil war, or fall and become another lost secret buried in the sands of this everlasting canyon?)
      - British Colombia
      • (Western Canadian Province. Previously Canada's westernmost province and the only Canadian province bordering the Pacific Ocean. With a coastline filled with mountainous fjords and about 6000 islands, most of them uninhabited, this nation lives up to its motto 'Splendour sine occasu' (Splendor without Diminishment).)
      - California
      • (Western American State. The most populous of all U.S. states. Situated along the American west coast and with a mountain range cutting its centre, this nation is quite defensive and could rise to become a dominant force in North America.)
      - Chihuahua
      • (Northern Mexican State. Although named after the Chihuahua Desert, the state has more forest than most other states in Mexico. This may prove advantageous if defending against its northern and eastern neighbours, depending on their force composition.)
      - Colorado
      • (Western American State. Known as the Centennial State due to it joining the United States once century after the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Colorado must now fight against its old comrades from its position in the Rocky Mountains.)
      - Cuba
      • (Caribbean Nation. This island nation was at the centre of the Cold War during the Cuban Missile Crisis of the 1960s. Now Cuba is looking for new alliances and partners in a changing world.)
      - Florida
      • (Southeastern American State. For over fifty years this state was the principal location of the Seminole Wars, the longest and most extensive of Indian wars in the United States history. Now war has returned to Florida, and this battle-hardened state will need to stand strong and fight once more.)
      - Haiti
      • (Caribbean Nation. An island nation, Haiti will require a navy to potentially compete with its direct neighbour, Cuba. After uniting the Caribbean Islands, the nation can look towards the American continent.)
      - Idaho
      • (Pacific Northwestern State. Excavations have shown that humans were present 16,600 years ago, lending credence to the Idaho state motto 'Esto Perpetua' (Let it be perpetual).)
      - Illinois
      • (Midwestern American State. Three United States presidents have been elected while living there, including the famous Abraham Lincoln. It would become the first state to abolish slavery. As history repeats itself, Illinois needs to find its place in the midst of the second civil war. Will it again be a beacon of freedom in the dark days ahead?)
      - Iowa
      • (Midwestern American State. Iowa has the Mississippi River running along its eastern border, and the Missouri River along its western and southern border, giving it an extra line of defense from most invaders -- provided it can keep Minnesota at bay.)
      - Kansas
      • (Midwestern American State. Kansas is no stranger to violence. Known as Bleeding Kansas due to the many violent and bloody confrontations that happened on its soil during the first Civil War. Kansas now finds itself at the core of another conflict and must once again perpetuate the cycle of violence that defines its history.)
      - Louisiana
      • (Southern American State. The birthplace of jazz, this state is known for its multicultural roots. These cultures must now band together to defned their land from the much larger incoming invaders, especially with the large threat of Texas looming over its border.)
      - Maine
      • (Northeastern American State. Having once been part of Canada and later inducted into the United States, now Maine has a chance to gain autonomy and fight for itself.)
      - Mexico
      • (Central Mexican State. Mexico is the gateway between North and Central America. However, the current secession has drastically reduced its territories, and it must fight back to regain what it had or risk fading into obscurity.)
      - Michigan
      • (Northeastern American State. The Great Lakes State. For several years, Michigan has been the centre for the US automotive industry and is home to the country's three major automobile corporations. This new civil war gives the state an opportunity to show its economic dominance by sending armoured vehicles far and wide across the land.)
      - Minnesota
      • (Upper Midwestern American State. The Land of Lakes, this state borders on Lake Superior to the northeast and the Mississippi River to the southeast, and has enough miles of rivers and streams to circle the equator three times.)
      - Montana
      • (Northwestern American State. The name 'Montana del Norte' was ironically a misnomer, with about 60% of the state being prairie and part of the Great Plains. This means that while the state is comfortably defended by mountains to the west, the east only has plains and forest to greet the coming invaders.)
      - New York
      • (Eastern American State. One of the original thirteen colonies of the United States. Home to Times Square, Central Park, the Statue of Liberty and the United Nations headquarters, it is no wonder that people from all over the world call it their home. New York is often referred to as 'Big Apple'.)
      - Nicaragua
      • (Central American Nation. At the centre of the American continent, Nicaragua may choose to pursue conquests northward or within the Caribbean. Regardless of its choice, it must be prepared to deal with many neighbouring nations, each with its own ambitions.
      - North Carolina
      • (Eastern American State. One of the original thirteen colonies of the United States. This is the land where the pioneering Wright brothers flew the world's first successful motor-operated airplane. Now amidst another civil war, North Carolina must again take to the skies and protect its land with the help of its air force.)
      - Nuevo Leon
      • (Northern Mexican State. Originally named after the New Kingdom of Leon, this once small state has grown exponentially, and could realise its potential and become the great power it was mean to be.)
      - Ohio
      • (Northeastern American State. This state is the birthplace of several famous pilots and astronauts including Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk upon the moon. In the upcoming struggle Ohio will need all the heroes it can muster to stake its claim among the inheritors of the old United States.)
      - Ontario
      • (Eastern Canadian Province. Canada's most populous province, and home to the nation's capital, Ottawa. This province was named after Lake Ontario with the name prossibly coming from the Iroquois word 'Onitariio', or 'beautiful lake' a fitting name for a province with approximately 250,000 lakes.)
      - Pennsylvania
      • (Eastern American State. One of the original thirteen colonies of the United States. This country is no stranger to civil war, having served as the battleground for the famous Battle of Gettysburg. Now with civil war at its doorstep, will Pennsylvania once again rise to the occasion?)
      - Quebec
      • (Eastern Canadian Province. Canada's largest province, being nearly three times the size of France. For many years there has been heated debate about the Quebec independence, and now the chance has come to claim the land for themselves and expand outward, conquering all in their path.)
      - Saskatchewan
      • (Central Canadian Province. The only Canadian province without a natural border. Even though this country is landlocked, almost 10 percent of it is composed of fresh water, including rivers, reservoirs and lakes.)
      - Texas
      - Virginia
      • (Eastern American State. One of the original thirteen colonies of the United States. Home of the first permanent English colony of the New World, the Old Dominion has the oldest continuously inhabited English settlement in North America. Will this long-standing state collapse, or rise once more?)
      - Washington
      - Yucatan
      • (Southern Mexican State. Yucatan was once considered the safest place in Mexico, with its capital Merida being awarded the 'City of Peace' in 2011. However, the outbreak of civil war now threatens the peace this state was once known for, and Yucatan must take up arms to fight for a lasting peace.)
      Currently on (potentially permanent) hiatus

Instead of choosing wings to fly, we chose hands to hold with each other.

Yet the sky still fascinates us, is it such a crime to keep on dreaming?

    • I once was sitting free at my home back in hot summers . I decided to draw some maps on my map-drawing book . There I got a weird idea to draw a USA map with the states divided and named it "Nation Divided - USA" myself . I spent 2 and a half hours in drawing it . And what was I left with was a confusing map of USA . Some states merged with others to have 'five cities' . Also , I added Alaska in it .
    • It really is a great map so far.

I think it really cuts down on navy for a lot of people early, though. They didn't make any of the Great Lakes cities ports (and the Great Lakes themselves aren't connected), so there are a lot of landlocked states in North America.

They are killing me with the lack of a 4x speed version, though. I'm trying to learn the map, and the nuances of my states, but it's slow going when I'm only on Days 2 and 3.

I'll have a few absent days coming up in a couple of weeks, so I'd really like to get a 4x game started soon. Otherwise, I'm going to end up being temporarily absent on my only attempts at this map.

I've been checking all day everyday since Christmas and have not seen one open/new/joinable battleground USA game. Is it called something else on the Playlist or something? No updates on the app either. Also have tried on web brower but still no luck. :/
