Interceptors are units of the “Fighters” class. They specialize in the destruction of these aircraft: Helicopters, Strike Fighters, Heavy Bombers, AWACS, Naval Patrol Aircraft, UAVs, and Cruise missiles. Interceptors are noticeably different from ASF, as they possess best-in-class speed, very high attack vs helicopters, planes and missiles, a significantly improved range and better radar. All this power comes at a cost though: The poor maneuverability of these planes means their health is very low, making them food for fighters, groups of strike fighters and SAMs.
Their stats in game would look something like this:
