If a player has a stack of 2 infantry and 2 AFVs, and the stack attacking it have a total of 20 damage against infantry and 15 against armor, how much damage will this mixed stack take?

How is damage applied to mixed stacks?

In theory: 10 and 7.5, in practicality it will wary because of many factors
-
its difficult...i have experiences that the dfense values of units determine, how much damage they will take.
so if you have 1 tank and a infantry fighting against a tank dealing the same inf/tank damage the infantry will take in more % of damage because his defense values against amour are lower...
but i could be mistaken as this subject is highly black box...@Dorado If you Close the Forum and move everything to Discord you will lose my Feedback for sure. -
It's can annihilated only 1x motor etc, (except Naval infantry and mechanized infantry (because they have larger HP) in one per round. and also they have terrain bonuses as well it.Guns are always loaded.
-
i writing too long... (sigh)Guns are always loaded.

1x Motor Infantry; ATK to soft > 3.0, armor > 2.5.
1x IFV; ATK to soft > 7.0, armor > 5.0.Guns are always loaded. -

A NASF tends to have better combat values than a ASF most of the time, but will still take more damage in my experience. -

Yee Haw -
There is always the X-factor taking part, also seem some units to attract more damage than others.
Also a gunship might prefer to deal its damage to infantry instead of armor, a bit hard to tell. -
total attacker strength will be divided by and apply to each unit in enemy stack
then convert to damage against X, then apply RNG. this is why you can slap NG in armor in then that stack is god against attack heli
ex.
attack heli vs NG and recon
attack heli 2.5 soft, 8.5 hard
enemy stack have 2 unit -> 100% strength /2 = 50% strength
50% to NG, NG is soft. = 2.5x50% = 1.25
50% to recon, recon is hard = 8.5x50% = 4.25
then apply RNG
note that there is more dept into ground-air combat tick and melee combat tick
but i will ignore those for simplicity of understanding mixed stacksThis post was made by Leader of the Church of ROAD -

Yes, because officers in general are less likely to take damage. They are made harder to hit.
You should compare similar troops not totally different ones. -
Well for me officer ist the same liek a normal unit but with limited number...thats why i compare him to a normal tank...
If he really has a bonus in damage calculation(apart from the obviuos values posted in description) then i will use him more often....@Dorado If you Close the Forum and move everything to Discord you will lose my Feedback for sure. -
I mean, the MAAV is probably the best counter arguement to your theory

the brrrrrr anti-air unit
(by opposition, of course, to the "woooosh" anti-air unit. Let's be precise with our semantics)Running an online alliance is pretty much like running a small company, except you need to find other way than money to keep your employees productive. May they play or work, they are humans. -

Not really, in my last challenge, I lost MAAV faster than I lost MRL even though MAAV have quite some more HP.
My Main Stack was 1 TC (77 HP), 5 MAAV (29 HP), 1 MoI (15 HP), 3 MRL (18 HP), I had to replenish mainly MAAV and also the MRL but the TC took hardly any damage even though he suffered several attacks.
Of course he is only 1/10 of the stack, but he still has hardly any Air Def (this his state after several attacks):

During the first chopper attack on two of my stacks I lost 4 MAAV (116 HP) amd 3 MRL (54 HP) -
damage distribution doesn’t considered HP
you have more MAA in your stack which concentrated enemy attack strength there and absorbed it.
to survive pure attack heli stack, i recommended you slab in a inf and ng. those will migrate enemy strength and wasted it. like how in your pic the inf barley take damageThis post was made by Leader of the Church of ROAD
