I think that in 12 years of playing the Bytro/Dorado games, the times i've been betrayed by others can be counted on the fingers of a single hand. In pretty much all of those occurences, the betrayer concluded by :




Here are my two pences advice on betrayers :

1°) Cease to ally day 1 with every random that says to you "I will love you good. Boom Boom long time". Betrayal happens the most in rats dens, between rats.
2°) Git gud. It may seem ridiculous, but being the kind of player that demonstrate sword in hand that he has a fiery temper and the habit to do 5 K/D ... gets magically less betrayed.
3°) To each his own : if you are a good team player, there should be no legit reason for a single teammate of the coalition to reach 1850 VPs by himself.
4°) State clearly your expectations/requirements in coalitions. If they are not met while there was an agreement, you will know they are not reliable without the need for them to inform you of that fact with a dagger.
5°) If you have any doubt, any guts, refuse to cooperate until spectacular guarantees are given. Prefer to have ennemies at your gates, than within your walls.


In other words, as you seek to grow in skill and expertise, behave as a princess of a powerful kingdom : your hand is precious. It will ensure that you will rarely, if ever, get betrayed. You may be betrayed a lot, but it will be by your own abilities, a betrayal that many will find much more enjoyable.

Also, the people that you will have bonded with may become regular companions or friends which will accompany you, reducing further the odds of betrayal.

Don't suck. If you weren't pulling your weight you will get kicked from colition and yes to win they may "backstab" you.

Ive only been back stabed twice. Both on mideast which was a non coaltion map and only trust / shared intelligence.

1. was working India and I was Ethiopia since day 1 and good rapport seemed liked good dude; etc. He was like my wingman but not that great. Ukraine was a golder auto healing and spinning up 5 ships in 10 min. at end of game basically the 3 of us; so after a few days tell india screw it let him win; Im hiding all my troops in pakistan mtns.

Log in like 1.5 days later and golder still afraid to come at me; but India was attacking me. Got on in time to at least wipe traitor out before golder won the game.

2. second time again on mideast but dude was caliphet. USA was a golder and just wiping people out with heavy bombers and as caliphet no advanced weapons so we figured out a method. I took out his bombers with my ASSF/SFs and would run troops through USAs cities let them pop and Caliphet would get like 20 units a day. But caliphet was accumulating troops and trying to head at me. Caliphet could multiply explonentially every day so I actually turned on him before he got me...lol. but was obvious his plan and if another day went by I might have been over run. No honor amongst thieves

But overall best defense against traitors is be top dog. One game had a lvl 120 player who was a vulture; let it go for weeks... finally he cut me off in my own territory one too many times so I cut him off and he threw a public hissy fit. Well left Coalition than curb stomped him. If he had the ability he would have tried to take me out. actually goy 3rd guy in coalition to join me and he confirmed that lazy lvl 120 player was trying to plot against me.

1. Have an Alliance
2. Have a Sub Alliance within that Alliance
3. Turen on your Alliance before they turn on you....lol

But in General:

1. Never give anyone ROW
2. Monitor suspicious troop activity
3. Intuition based on movement / behavior that you may have a double agent (spidey sense) and kick them and kill em.

Advice to protect yourself from backstabbers?



Don't join an alliance.
Keeps me from the problem.

Plus it is a LOT easier to win solo.
You don't have to carry all that dead weight.

yeh hes a real "expert" on forum. 3 whole games mediocre stats and no wins and 500 suggestions. still dont know how you can have a 1 - 11 loss ratio on navy...lol
