There is an enemy ship (corvette) near my coastline firing at my troops. It is within coast visibility range, I should be able to see it but I cannot. Is this normal?
Enemy ship near coastline invisible?

@GeorgeGrivas How have you positively identified it as a corvette without seeing it?
It's possible the image when you were able to ID it appeared as within visibility range, but its actual position, indicated by a red dot, is not (in which case you should not be able to see it)."The enemy cannot push a button, if you disable his hand."
Sergeant Zim, Terran Federation -
I had seen the corvette before, and it could only attack Athens from one position, the bay of Patras
Sent the fleet within visual range and yes, there it was. -
Does that mean problem solved? Or just info about the problem?
-
Yes, the problem is solved, it's in the bottom of the Ionian Sea. But the corvette was right next to the coastline, shouldn't it be visible without me having to send units for a visual ID?
-
Do you mean the red dot was point black next to the coast or do you mean it was just in visual range of the coast?
-
Also, up to the point you brought your ships up to it, did you have an unidentified contact marker on it or could you just not see it?
-
The ship was within the (alleged) coastal visual range. There was never any dot.
-
Strange. Anything on the water is supposed to have a dot under it's image showing it's exact location. I would ask for a screenshot but the ship in question is already dead.

I had two incidents like that last Sunday. I was thwarting off a full on invasion and in two spots I got no notification I was under attack. Just because I cannot see the actual unit doing the damage does not mean the people of that city are all thinking it must be the gawds who hate us and go out to the pier to sacrifice a virgin. I am pretty sure they will say
scheisse we are being shelled from the sea! The other one I had a division in the city. For the no troops city I saw it smoking and thought WTF? Why are the buildings taking damage? Then I saw the city with the ID in it and saw the damage "exploding" icon on the infantry itself which denotes it is taking damage. Ok now we have a division taking on shelling with no comment of "We're being attacked!" or "The pale dogs approach!" It kept telling me it was in combat because I was trying to heal them. Wait ...what? In combat with whom. So I am looking at the ! to see if I missed any messages. I thought maybe this was sabotage or some other intel thing being done to me. I could not even see the naval bombardment splash. So for the no troop city I sent out a Strike Wing to investigate and for the other city with troops in it I sent an Attack Helo Wing out to investigate. Once I saw the ship then I saw the naval bombardment splash.
The world knows about this and apparently I am the one that told them:

But no Argentina news agency thinks to say hey our city is being shelled? It is the same thing with arty.Ain't Nothing But A Thing!
