Greetings, fellow players, developers, and moderators.
I propose that Somalia/Somaaliyaa should function as a playable nation-state for players based on the following arguments:
1. Somalia is a coastal nation-state, indicating that it could function as a naval powerhouse within the African continent.
2. Due to it's close proximity with Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Egypt, it could function as a threatening enemy or beneficial ally to either nations due to it's access to the coast along the horn of Africa.
3. Although it is limited in provinces, each city could be placed within or beside each province (as coastal cities) in order to compensate for their miniature amount of provinces. It would provide cities with the ability to protect it's territory much more easily than the average nation-state that must protect 2-6 tiles per city. The nation-state could be identical to Cuba considering that both nations possess a total of six provinces.
Ideas for cities:
1. Mogadishu (Capital and coastal city, already within the game)
2. Kismaayo (coastal city within the province of Kismaayo)
3. Bargaal (coastal city within the province of Bosaso)
4.
A) Jawhar (Land-based city on the south-Eastern region of the province of Galkayo, intended to protect Mogadishu)....
B) Beledweyne (Land-based city on the north-western region of the province of Galkayo, intended to either invade Ethiopia or function as a means towards securing Somaaliya against Ethiopia)
5. Hargeisa + Berbera (Hargeisa shall be the land-based city while Berbera shall be the coastal city within the province of Hergeisa)
Due to Somalia's small size, it should be FAIR to provide Somalia with two cities within one province in order to concentrate it's manpower, whether naval or land-based, on the northern regions of it's border against threats from either the nation-states of the Arabian peninsula or Africa.
Four coastal cities and two land-based cities
Resources:
Extremely high supply of oil (close proximity of Arabian peninsula)
High supply of EITHER components or supplies
Such a system is applicable to minuscule nation-states such as Cuba, Morocco, The D.P.R.K. and The R.O.K.... Thus, Somalia deserves to attain such a privilege due to it's access to the Suez Canal.
