So, just a thought, could research time and/or cost be reduced for coalition members, if your a team member has a technology? I believe such technology sharing happens often between allies IRL (e.g. F-35) Also this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allied_t…ation_during_World_War_II So I think it's definitely realistic. Just a question of whether it's considered to ruin the gameplay by giving a significant advantage to coalition members vs solo, despite the realism.

the main problem would be monetizationRunning an online alliance is pretty much like running a small company, except you need to find other way than money to keep your employees productive. May they play or work, they are humans.
-
Ahh... money: the root of all kinds of evils
-
Not only money . Any type of exchange between players increases "unfair" gaming risk. People may start use multi or "friends" accounts ...
-
Even monetization aside, this would be a feast for exploits
-
But there are already ways in place to prevent people from doing that. You already have a massive advantage if you control more than one nation (though less than if you spend money)
-
And we will massively ban everyone who controls more than one nation. Risk it? Not worth it... We are banning players every day. Just saying."Going to war without France is like going hunting without an accordion." Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf

Uuh Ooh seems like someone just jumped top of the Watchlist
I´m pretty sure everything is said.
